Dual-Cure UV Moisture Curing Conformal Coating
Sustainable and 100% solid option compared to traditional solvent-based coatings
GLUDITEC Dual-Cure UV Moisture Curing Conformal Coating present a sustainable, 100% solid option compared to traditional solvent-based coatings. These slim protective layers ensure environmental safety for printed circuit boards (PCBs) without introducing extra expenses or bulk. Application is simple and often done through spray dispensing, with curing achieved through UV/Visible light exposure. Cure times may vary based on the board’s intricacy and coating thickness, but generally, light-induced curing is rapid, taking only seconds to complete.
Conformal coatings with dual-cure capabilities are designed to address concerns regarding complete curing in shadow areas on high-density circuit boards. These coatings include a secondary moisture-cure feature to ensure that even the areas beneath components, where light may not reach for curing, are fully cured. In such scenarios, having a secondary cure mechanism becomes crucial for achieving optimal results.
